About Don Ford
Donald Ford, MA, LMFT, LPC, CBIS is a Therapist in private practice.

Don has been in the mental health field for 36 years. He works with individuals, couples and families, with clients in ages ranging from adolescence to older adults. He has extensive experience and training in the areas of anxiety, depression, stress, personal change and growth, parenting, relationship, sexual concerns, PTSD and ADD/ADHD.

He also has experience and training in working with clients with Acquired &Traumatic Brain Injury, Strokes and other cognitive impairments,  in adjustment to cognitive and behavioral changes.  He is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and a Professional Member of the Brain Injury Association of Oregon

Additionally, he has organizational and teaching experience in diversity training. He has served on The Regional Diversity Council for a large HMO, to improve patient care to diverse populations as well as chairing the Mental Health Departments Diversity Council, and regional Disabilities Staff Association. He was appointed by Governor Kulongosky to the statewide Oregon Board for Vocational Rehabilitation Services. There he also served on the Board's Executive Committee

Don also has an avid interest in the connection between nature and psychology and how this interrelationship can be instrumental in attaining emotional wellbeing and fulfillment of desired life changes. He frequently incorporates concepts from the natural world in his work with clients. 

His work respects, supports and encourages individual uniqueness and diversity in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
